The Ziff Law Firm in Elmira has been fortunate in 2020. Amid the pandemic, our hard-working lawyers and staff have been able to keep working from our home offices, continuing to offer the best representation possible to our clients.
But we know thousands of other Twin Tiers residents have not been as lucky in 2020 and have lost their jobs and seen their children struggle in many cases to adapt to remote learning. The pandemic has had an impact on everyone, from children stuck at home to unemployed parents and isolated senior citizens.
The Ziff Law team has been seeking ways to help Twin Tiers families, so when we were approached this fall to sponsor an event planned to help those in need, we were eager to jump in!
We are helping to sponsor the Help the Less Fortunate community event from noon to 2 p.m. Christmas Eve in First Arena in Downtown Elmira.
For two hours, families will have access to free winter clothing, free health-care products and a free Christmas dinner served by Elmira Enforcers pro hockey players.
“After the success of the last two years, where more than 400 people were served a dinner and received new hats, gloves, coats and other essentials, it became very clear there was a need for such an event in the area and we are proud to pull it off right here at First Arena,” said Robbie Nichols, owner of First Arena.
The Ziff Law family is excited to be part of this great event and wishes everyone in the Twin Tiers a happy holiday season as we all look forward to better days ahead in 2021.
