President Trump, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf have declared states of emergency to contain the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic and health officials have strongly recommended “social distancing”.
To do our part in fighting this virus, we made the very difficult decision to close our Elmira office for at least two weeks (likely longer) and have our entire ZiffLaw team work remotely. Thankfully, our decision many years ago to invest heavily in the very best law office technology enables our entire team to easily work remotely with access to the exact same resources we have in the office. This means we will be able to actively work on our cases during the time of the court shutdown and will have no interruption in service to our clients.
WE ARE STILL ANSWERING THE PHONES (800-943-3529 or 733-8866) AND EMAILS (info@zifflaw.com) SO PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO CONTACT US!
Due to the declared state of emergency, state and federal courts have been essentially shut down for 45 to 60 days. That means any pending proceedings are adjourned and will have to be rescheduled at a later date.
Although these cancellations will undoubtedly cause a delay in the resolution of your case, rest assured we will be exerting our very best efforts to ensure any delay is minimal. During the court shutdown, we plan to take advantage of this time to actively work the many non-court related tasks associated with every case (investigations, obtaining medical records, negotiating with insurance carriers, etc.).
At this time, we intend to work remotely for at least the next two weeks, but we will continue to monitor the changing coronavirus scene and may extend this period of remote work, if necessary.
For your safety and convenience, while our office is closed, we will be happy to meet with you via phone or FaceTime or Skype. Whatever works best for you.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call us at 800-ZIFFLAW (943-3529) or email us at info@zifflaw.com.

All our best to you and your family! Remember your social distancing and please stay home, if possible.
